Budget Tracking Guide
1. What is Budget Tracking?
Budget Tracking helps you stay in control of your monthly ad spend by monitoring pacing and performance directly in Adzooma.
Instead of juggling spreadsheets or manual calculations, you’ll see:
- How much you’ve spent so far this month
- Whether you’re on track, under, or over budget
- A clear comparison of actual spend vs. your target
📌 Budgets are set at the account (Profile) level, not campaign level, and reset automatically each calendar month.
2. Why Use Budget Tracking?
Managing budgets across platforms can be stressful. Budget Tracking simplifies it with:
- Account-Level Tracking – Monitor spend for each connected ad account (Google, Microsoft, Facebook).
- Daily Updates – Fresh pacing data every 24 hours.
- Visual Dashboards – Simple charts showing spend, pacing, and ROI (if revenue data is available).
- 1-Month History – Review last month’s budget vs. spend for benchmarking.
- Pacing Alerts – Spot over- or underspending early and adjust campaigns in real time.
Whether you’re spending £500 or £50,000 per month, Budget Tracking gives you confidence that your ad spend is working as hard as it should.
3. Profiles vs. Projects
To use Budget Tracking, you’ll first need to connect your ad accounts to Adzooma. These are organised as Profiles and can also be grouped into Projects.
- Profile = one ad account
Each Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, or Facebook Ads account you connect is a separate Profile.
👉 Example: 1 Google Ads account = 1 Profile.
👉 You can connect unlimited Profiles, making it easy to manage multiple brands or clients.
- Project = a folder of Profiles
Projects let you group multiple Profiles together in one place, giving you a combined view of spend and pacing across all accounts inside that Project.
👉 Example: A “Client A” Project might contain their Google Ads + Facebook Ads Profiles.
👉 Useful for agencies or anyone who needs oversight across several accounts at once.
Think of it this way: Profiles are your building blocks, Projects are the folders that keep them organised.
4. Enabling Budget Tracking
At Profile Level (individual ad accounts)
- From the Profiles Dashboard (or within a Project), select your desired Paid Profile.
- On the Profile Dashboard, click Settings in the top navigation.
- Enter your monthly budget amount and click Save.

- Budgets reset automatically each calendar month.
At Project Level (groups of accounts)
- From the left-hand menu, select Projects.
- Choose your Project and open the Settings tab.
- Enter your monthly budget amount and click Save.
